As technology advances in our schools, interactive whiteboards are becoming more and more prevalent.  The leading whiteboard is the SMARTBoard. 

Today, it is the world's leading interactive whiteboard. Combining the simplicity of a whiteboard with the power of a computer, the SMARTBoard interactive whiteboard engages students and audiences around the world.

The touch-sensitive display connects to your computer and digital projector to show your computer image. You can then control computer applications directly from the display, write notes in digital ink and save your work to share later.

Notebook Activities

Dice Probability- Explore the idea of probability with this interactive dice lesson.  Students can discuss probability, perform a probability experiment, and graph their results.

 

Synonyms and Antonyms- Activities and websites to help introduce the concept of synonyms and antonyms.

 

 

United States Labeling- Try this interactive lesson to allow students to learn where states are located, as well as their names.  Try a special state capitol challenge at the end.

 

Graphing- Students will get the chance to collect data, then transform it into bar graphs and pictographs.

 

 

Simple Machines- See if you can identify all of the different types of simple machines contained in this activity.  You can try the quiz at the end, or go to the Helpful Links section to try some interactive simple machines activities.  (Credit: Rich Werner)

 

Haiku Poetry- Students learn the history and proper format of haiku poetry with this smartboard activity.
